Weybridge is about 20 miles from London to the South-West. If you are driving from the West side of London or from central London the best route is out along the A316 which eventually becomes the M3. This in turn crosses the M25 at M3 Junction 3 (M25 J12). If you turn left at this junction on to the M25 you can drive along for about 2 miles in the left hand lane and exit at Junction 11. Keep over to the left and at the top of the ramp turn left for Weybridge. Go to the next roundabout and take the third exit - which is just about straight on. This takes you up a hill, straight across a roundabout, through a set of lights, across a mini roundabout and then to a second mini roundabout which is at the Brooklands end of Weybridge High Street. Turn right at this mini roundabout and go to the next roundabout which is at Weybridge Station. Take the second exit which takes you over the railway bridge (a right turn in effect) into the Brooklands Road and go for about a mile. You will find the museum and track entrance on the right hand side on the brow of a hill on a left hand sweeping corner. It is a difficult turn with limited visibility but there is a filter lane in the centre of the road. If you miss your turn go 400 metres to the next roundabout, turn round and come back. Coming from the South on the M3 you join the M25 at M3 Junction 2 taking care to head M25 East and then follow the above directions. Coming from France and the South coast you will come along the M25. Exit the M25 at junction 10. Keep to the right on the slip road (the two left hand lanes are both left turn lanes) and follow the roundabout round to take the A3 North. Stay over to the left and take the next exit which is a long slip road which slopes upwards quite steeply. Keep over to the left. You will see a deserted building on your left with signs which say San Domenico Restaurant as you approach the slip road. Goodness knows why it ever closed - their antipasti was the best ever! When you get to the top of the slip road turn left and stay in the left lane. Go straight on at the traffic lights. (Please note - if you are staying at the Hilton you can turn left at these lights which will take you to the entrance) Still heading towards Brooklands, keep going until you come to a roundabout at which you turn right into Brooklands Road, passing a small industrial estate on your left. Go along Brooklands Road, passing a garage on your left, to a roundabout and go straight on. After 400 metres the museum entrance is on your left marked with a very large sign. Turn left into the entrance and stay on the left. This will take you down the hill to the entrance gate. Please note: When you turn into the museum entrance road you will find yourself driving along a very bumpy concrete track. This is the original concrete surface of the Campbell Circuit - part of the racetrack - you are driving on Brooklands track! When you enter the museum boundary please follow the instructions from the marshalls who will tell you where to park and unload. The Brooklands will be very very busy and there will be lot of noise and congestion caused by racing cars driving to and fro. Many of these cars have to be push started so look out and give them room. We have never had an accident but space restrictions do not help so we rely on everyone's common sense to keep our 100% safety record intact. If you travel on foot you can take the train to Weybridge main line station and walk from there to the track which will take you about 15 minutes. Travelling by air: From London City: As per directions out of West London. From Gatwick: By car take the M23 north then M25 West following the above instructions to exit at M25 Junction 10. From Stansted: South to the M25 then to J11 and follow the above direction. From Farnborough: Take the M3 and follow the above directions. If you miss your turn at Junction 10 coming from the South coast you can go on to M25 Junction 11 and then follow the above instructions. For accommodation details: click here.
