Aerial view of Brooklands Track taken
in 2002. The area being acquired by Daimler Chrysler is
outlined in red. The surviving sections of the track can
be clearly seen. The grey strip up the centre is the
runway built originally to fly Vickers Wellington
bombers out of the site during World War 2 and the dark
black strip is new tarmac laid to enable light aircraft
to land for fly-ins.
The serpentine at 6 o'clock is a kart
track which will be cleared in due course to make way
for a parkland area. |
