The 2009 Individual Event Awards

2009 saw the introduction of Brooklands Society motorsport awards for each of that year's three main vintage events at pre-war venues, which in 2009 were the Vintage Shelsley and VSCC Prescott hillclimbs and the VSCC's 'See Red' race meeting at Donington.

The new individual event awards were given for best performance against handicap by cars that competed at Brooklands in period i.e. from 1907 to 1939.  The awards came in the form of tankards engraved with the Brooklands Society's badge, the winner's name and car and the details of the event.

The tankards, for retention in perpetuity, were presented to the winners at the Society's annual dinner held in the Brooklands Clubhouse on 29th November 2009.

The 2009 winners were:
5 July, Vintage Shelsley Walsh, Mark Brett, 1937 Ballamy-Ford V8 Special.
2 August, VSCC Prescott, Peter Swete, 1930 Talbot 90.
6 September, VSCC Donington, James Trigwell, 1935 Frazer Nash Elektron.

See the separate tabs in this section for more details and photographs of the winning cars.
