1909/10 American Underslung Traveler Manufactured by The American Motor Company and entered at Goodwood by William Haines, this was America's first sports car, with fully underslung suspension. Only fifteen of these cars still survive and Mr. Haines owns six of them. The engine is a four cylinder with a capacity of 8.2 litre giving 50 h.p. at 1,500 rpm which in its day made for a performance car on the very rough and dusty roads of the time. |
