| A detailed photograph of the Straker Squire X2 six cylinder
3,921 c.c. engine. This was a development of the Eagle aero engine which Straker Squire built for Rolls Royce during the First World War. |
The valves which have exposed springs are actuated by an overhead camshaft and each cylinder is separate from the others. Fuel supply is via twin carbs. |
