September 1999 Goodwood Revival Meeting - Damon Hill on Fred Walmsley's 1962 500cc Manx Norton

Sunday 19th September - 0900 to 1800. Gates open at 0630
Last year there was an amazing emphasis on taking a step back in time. This year it will be even greater. It is recommended that ladies wear waisted skirts and gentlemen sports jackets and ties, turned up flannel trousers and a trilby. For the ladies, a dress with a waist and a big skirt or a tweedy suit and hat or simply a skirt with a twinset and pearls. The final touch for the ladies is the matt red lipstick and black eyeliner and for the men - Brylcreemed hair.

First Report:
The ten race Goodwood Revival programme featured the RAC TT Celebration, Gerhard Berger, Jack Brabham, Barry Sheene and Bobby Rahal, Damon Hill and many others in the great cars and on the great bikes of the fifties and sixties as well as flights by a number of fantastic aircraft.

September 1999 Goodwood Revival Meeting - Hurricane landing after the display given for Stirling Moss's 70th birthday party on Friday evening.

Despite foul weather on the Sunday our intrepid reporter was on the spot for all three days, so we now await the arrival of the rest of the photos -  watch this space.

Finally - "Who do you think you are, Stirling Moss?" Friday 17th September was the great man's 70th birthday - and he's still burning everyone else off in historics! We are sure you will join with us in wishing the most famous racing driver in the world many happy returns. Goodwood - what a way to celebrate!
