Photograph of the boundary between the
museum and the Prudential Assurance/Helical Bar development showing the
new 2/3 storey office block which is being built partly on the site of the
Campbell Circuit. In the distance looking through the bulldozer is the sublime Sony
building - all glass and modern with trees in the atrium. Hopefully the
five new office blocks will be as attractive. If they were looking out on
a concreted re-creation of the Finishing Straight and Campbell circuit they
would be all the better for it. Unfortunately it looks to me like they are
going to plant a flower bed and lay tarmac. They are certainly planting a
row of trees where the track used to be, which unfortunately is out of
character with the real Brooklands.
