The surface is quite good for the most part but fragmenting in others. It needs cleaning up urgently to arrest further fragmentation of the concrete but as can be seen, for a team of professionals this would be a quick job. The fragmented section should be removed with new sections inserted as appropriate. As it stands, when you drive past it, because it is all green it is very easy not to even notice that it is there. Families and women with small children going about their day to day business could be excused for not even noticing it, let alone knowing what it is. We have recently been in contact with Tesco who have appointed a firm of consultants to advise on a recommended course of action. Cleaned up and refurbished this is a wonderful heritage asset to any company. Where else can you buy a piece of Brooklands? Am I sounding like an anorak? Shame on you! Don't even think it. |
